De Hoek Country Hotel
“Every heart sings a song, incomplete until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song. At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet.”
– Plato
October 2012 saw the joyous occasion of our 29th Wedding Anniversary. After extensive research (the part of any event that I really love doing), I opted for a visit to De Hoek Country Hotel. De Hoek is one of those 5-star retreats nestled away close to the cradle of human mankind.
The original house was built 22 years ago. It has a special charm and ambience, created by beautiful sandstone architecture and elegant, classically designed interiors. The homestead was designed for Johann and Andre Redelinghuys, whose grandfather was one of the original settlers in the Magaliesburg valley.
Arriving at De Hoek …driving over the wooden bridge with the beautiful Weeping Willow tree alongside was like entering into another world – one of peace and tranquillity. From then on it was non-stop pampering with their
exceptional quality, superb service and Michael’s culinary proficiency assuring overindulgence.
If you are searching for a quiet, romantic get-away in a country setting, then this is your perfect weekend away.
I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a great blog like this one these days.| а
Thank you 🙂
